Hey there
I just wanted to remind you how awesome you are.
This is especially to those of you whose brains are constantly telling you that you’re not ‘good enough’ or that you’ll never be as good as ‘them’.
I get it. I've been there. But remember that your primal brain will ALWAYS send you those messages. Its job is to keep you alive – so it prioritises doubt and memories of failure. Fantastic for survival back in the day. Less helpful in the modern world...
So, what’s the solution if you want to reduce your self-doubt and build confidence?
Clue… it has nothing to do with gaining more expertise or experience.
If that were true, we would not have an epidemic of imposter syndrome in high-achieving women. Women will boat loads of expertise and experience.
The solution is to deliberately and intentionally remind your brain how awesome you are.
Confidence is just a feeling, created by your thoughts. So it matters how you talk to yourself. The narratives you have about yourself, your career, your daily work.
If you find yourself regularly down-playing, normalising, discounting or flat-out forgetting about all of your successes and achievements, it's time to change the narrative.

Remember how awesome you are.
